I just recieved an email for a forward for: A range of great LATIN MUSIC INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) are needed by a U.K.-based Music Library/Publishing Co. for TV placement. This company ran numerous TAXI listings in 2006 (and signed many TAXI songs) and is now in need of more great material as their service has become very much in demand. Traditional and contemporary styles are OK. Music from South America is especially sought for this listing (Brazilian, Peruvian, etc.). They don't want tracks that sound like they were obviously MIDI generated - authenticity and great performances are the keys. Both instrumentals with lead melody lines and basic backing tracks that serve as "soundbeds" are OK - they want both. All tempos are OK. Track length should be in the 1:00 - 3:00 range. At this point they work mostly with prominent U.K. TV channels such as the BBC and ITV, but also supply music to other production companies that broadcast worldwide. They offer non-exclusive, 50/50 deals. PLEASE NOTE: If you've been forwarded for D071024CB (Caribbean), please do not submit the same material here. Chuck, this sounds awesome!! Great tune, great sounds. l like the "Ipanema" turnaround!The cascading strings are great and right in the style. I'm assuming the sax comes from the Oasys, it sounds great. You did the right thing and had it play nice simple lines which makes it work. It will fool most that listen, I'm sure!!Excellent man!! Mazz,Thanks for the feedback.The sax is the OASYS. The latest update was Brass and Woodwinds. (700 meg)They had the different saxplayers play in the style of Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Phil Woods and Charlie Parker to capture the timbre of their style. The Getz tenor is very breathy and the natural vibrato comes in as you hold the note.I'm hooked on Brazilian music and love the harmonic struture of the tunes of Jobim etc.I also love the Claus Ogerman string sound.I'm going to do more tracks like this, they seem very natural to me.Chuck

Frank,The sax is from the Korg OASYS. The OASYS is expandable and there have been several expansions available. The latest is Brass and Woodwinds. When they did the sampling sessions they had the sax players play in the style of Stan Getz, John Coltrane, Phil Woods and others to capture attack of each player and their timbre and tone. The Stan Getz sample is what I used for this track. There is natural vibrato at the end of each note if it is held long enough and a lot of breath in the attack. Chuck
