Oh I'm so glad you posted the link, Steve, so I could discover Andy! I was a big fan of Michael Hedges right from the beginning just about - yes he died in a car accident at age 44, in 1997.http://www.nomadland.com/--Mer

I just love this guy's outlook he had on life. His quotes were just the best, like this one:This is more than just guitar music—it’s open to everyone. And if anyone wants to lock me into the guitar pigeonhole, I’ll make like a pigeon and crap on their windowsill.”Not as sweet as some of his quotes, but so so true This guy was all about the music and making it. Strip away all thecrap and just get at the heart of the music. Another great talent gone....sad sad sad I say Thanks again Mer Steve

Yes I like that quote, and this: “I’m not trying to play the guitar. I’m trying to play music.” And this one: “I play the guitar because it let’s me dream out loud.” Yes I was very sad when I found out he died, I think I had at least a whole day of grieving and mourning, listening to his music and contributing to the fund for his children... so I'm happy he's got someone continuing the musical line, so to speak!--Mer

Fun to watch and a great picker too!Take care and thanksSteve

But I find it hard to even keep strings on my instruments these days. Yes I like all of his quotes too, he seemed to be a very gentle and level headed man.I watched a few more vids, and in one of them, he told the crowdto drive carefully when they left, and then he dies in a car crash. How's that for irony!Kinda like when John Lennon gave his last interview right before he was murdered. Someone asked about goin out in New York, and he said that people would ask for autographs, but they don't bug ya you know.........no, this freakazoid Chapman asked for an autograph, and then killed him! Another great talentgone for no good reason. What a shameTake care MerSteve
