To Renew or Not to Renew

I joined because my friend Leroy had 1 of his songs licensed by MTV for $2500. So I TRUST that Taxi sends music to the right people... but your music must be what those right-people are looking for. Leroy also says that you sometimes have to wait YEARS before they USE your music for one of their projects. You COULD get a call 3 years from now wanting to pay you $2500 to use one of your songs for example. It's a gamble of course... it's up to you to stay in TAXI's game. SI

Thank you everyone for the fantastic advice and opinions!!!! This is exactly what I was hoping for. We'll keep at it of course. We're going through alot of scructural change within in the band and it's for the better. Plus I have 3 other music projects going on as well.Take care everyone!!! Keep it movin' keep it groovin'. Glad to hear you are sticking around. I'm a newbie too, but have no kind of hook up rate compared to what you're sportin'. You are really on the right track with that ratio. Keep it up!!!

Hey Audiblethread,I'm sure your stuff is getting forwarded to those folks mentioned...People post the '' be patient '' comment here all the time ...I've been contacted for forwards that happened a year ago !Personally I'm giving myself at least 3 years at TAXI to see what happens and where it will bring me...I've had 31 tunes signed in the past 7 months and one TV placement ( which proves to me that this whole process is legit and that I should keep pluggin away ! ). I still have my doubts, especially since being a member of this forum and I hear some of the music that gets forwarded totally stuns and perplexes me...And some stuff that I find brilliant and on target that doesn't get the o.k.?? But I'm still learning how things work here and I want to give it a real honest go...I go with my gut and heart & soul...And I think you have to give it some time to really see what unfolds.Best of luck to you and your band !Mike
