A Country Try?

O.K. folks,I too, tried my hand at writing a lil'country instrumental last summer (wasn't a TAXI member then) while my basement & studio was being finished. So this is not geared towards any particular listing, just posting to see what you all think. Don't know where it came from, but I was foolin' around playin' some chords on my acoustic and put it together. Does it sound like it might fit anything with some re-work? Hey Ibanez,Nice guitar work! I can easily envision country scenes in my head while listening to this piece. I'm not sure if it could be classified as country per se, but that could just be my lack of knowledge of the genre.Years ago, I had some easy listening music on cassette. Can't remember what it was called, but the theme was nature and the outdoors. This sounds like it would be perfect for something along those lines.

Thanks guys! That's why I put a question mark on the thread title. I wasn't sure if it was considered country myself. Flat, I saw that listing but didn't even think about this tune at the time. I was going through a copyrighted CD of mine last night, and came across it. Had forgotten all about it.lc, thanks for the vision. You just reminded me. I think it came from watching TV. A salad dressing commercial I believe it was. Young lady sitting at the table eating her salad, having these thoughts, envisioning a country setting or somethin' along those lines. I can't even remember the brand of salad dressing it was. But that's what inspired this tune. Weird huh?ibanez468

lol! I think I know what commercial you're talking about. And I can't remember what the product name was either...not good for the marketing department, huh?I get inspired from anything and everything myself. Sometimes it comes from within, but sometimes just looking at a painting can inspire something musically in me as well. Years ago, I used to write short stories. So everything I saw had the ability to inspire me to write. Like if I'd see someone running down the street, I'd ask myself, Why are they running? Are they running towards or from something? Was that car that just honked trying to get their attention? Hey, what if... then that's where the story idea would begin. Anyway, looking forward to what you do with this should you decide to work on it some more.

very-unique.... ....'scuse the oxymoron.....it makes me feel like buying something for my corporation... no, seriously, it makes my corporation feel like buying somethin' it could be a corporate instrumental ...here.. there is a show called Bay Area Backroads, and they always play stuff like this when they're getting ready to drive to Napa or someplace.... great old work!!!got funk?VTBP
