off target / on target?
Just wondering how I did on this Here's the listing:An East Coast-based Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed tons of TAXI writers is once again seeking master quality COMEDY INSTRUMENTALS for use in corporate videos, TV, film, radio, and commercial productions. They need funny, quirky, TV sitcom-like material. Prominent melodies are not required. Please submit one to three pieces online or per CD; 60 sec. to 3 min. is the recommended track length for this pitch. They offer a very fair exclusive deal with a 5-year reversion clause. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Feb. 14, 2008.Here's the submission....http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ueFeedback welcome

wow not what I expected...you're really blowing me away with your versatility...I'm not knowledgeable on this listing, but I think you did a good job with the non-prominent melody.....the horn sound may be too clean for its' part....can you guys do a midi over-blow? It has less space than I would've expected....and more of a driving groove...I'm curious if that is on target for the listing....hilarious name, tooI see it was due yesterday...let us knowyou're such a positive force here on the forum....Frankly, I wish I lived across the street from you..good luck,Vicky the bassplayer

Thanks everyone, for the listens. I started out thinking comedy and ended up with this. We all agree it doesn't fit this listing, but hopefully there will be something I can submit it to. Any thoughts on what kind of opp it might fit?hugsHummin'bird

I like it. Somehow, chromaticism is always funny. I love that little vocal sample. Here's my submission. "Bill's Funky Groove", I was picturing Bill Cosby dancing as I wrote it.Also a healthy dose of RMX.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... 1&stream=1

Very good, Elser!! Nice quirky funky groove - great bends on the guitar. Sounds really well mixed as well. I hear the "Cosby" vibe, makes me smile. Bet you get a forward!!

Hi Vicky,Sounds like you got a little side-tracked huh? I suppose stylus can have that affect. Sounds cool though. I'm sure you can re-work that into something else.ibanez468
