Quote:Elsner,Nice groove, what are you using for your hornsBobHi Bob,That's a combination of a Roland JV1080 mutli-horn patch and a solo trumpet from my Roland D70. I think part of what makes it work is I left it pretty loose timing wise. Kind of gives it that New Orleans flavor.

Vikki: man, I have to dive into Stylus...just no time!I enjoyed the piece, but think it might not be what the listing is looking for (but you never now!)Elser: nice groove laid down...I loved the section around 1:36 with the keys...real nice.I was really not sure what to go for, after reading the listing...so I went with this:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... 9&stream=1

Vikki,This is cool! It has a bit of a rap-vinal scratching vibe underneath it all. I like it. Very unique. Very creative. For the listing .. i don't know .. it is 'quirky'. I'd have submitted it, too. It just might fly. Dean

Vikky: you put the "Q" in quirky with this one!! Sounds like the new toys have taken over temporarily!! I think it may just be too quirky for a sitcom soundtrack but I like the way you test the boundaries and don't just stay in the safe middle. That attitude will serve you well I think!!Elser: Good stuff. Nice funky groove and good guitar work. I'm a big fan of "loose" when it comes to one-person-band stuff. I wonder if this is just a little too loose in parts. I guess we'll see. One small thing is I would have panned the lead guitar when it comes in up the middle. Having it over in the right with the horns kind of clutters up the groove, it messes up the way you have the groove bouncing from speaker to speaker. Just a small thing. A nice effort overall. Good luck!!Mazz

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!
