This is subjective (of course) but I think:1) The first few notes are interesting, but (on my speakers) they are so low, it almost sounds like the guitar is cutting out (like line-in too low) as opposed to the funky sound you are going for...I'm not saying change it, but rather give it more volume in those first few notes...if that makes sense.2) You might want to shorten the intro and bring in the guitar (that starts at about 0:20) in a little earlier. What I am thinking here is that you want to "hook" the listener earlier on (assuming the listener is quickly thumbing thru alot of tracks to choose some music). "Hooking" them earlier might be a better way to keep them from prematurely flipping to another track before before your song really kicks in.3) The guitar coming in at 0:20 could be a bit more complex, but again, that is really just opinion (as is it all).4)While I like the first sections, I really like the distortion guitar section that starts at around 0:50, but it would be nice (and a bit longer) if you sort of repeat the entire song twice, to kind of give it that ABAB form...both sections are nice, but the shifting between them makes it interesting (assuming some slight variations and perhaps an additional small bridge or two). 5) This is just a thought, but layering the first guitar sound with an even more complex distortion guitar sound (in an additional verse, since the initial verses are quite nice) would give the song greater complexity as it progresses. Of course the above thoughts are a bit nit picky (but hey, you asked, right? ) Overall, I like it alot, just wish it was a bit longer with increasing complexity (and variations between the simple beginning and the overlayed guitars). But I guess I already said that earlier. Sounds like you could easily get to 2:30 and still keep it quite interesting. My thought here is that many film/TV (if that is what you are going for) spots are short in length, but giving them a 2:20 length song gives them a few areas to choose from...and alot of Film/TV use sections that start off slow and then get more forceful and complex..so why not give them two soft-complex sections to choose from? Also, remember they can always cut the song down, but they can't easily make it longer if there is only 1:30 worth of material.Anyway, very nice job indeed. PS. (Soundclick's player is a bit frustrating since it does not auto-repeat the song (not does it let me move the slider to replay a section easil) , and for critiquing songs, a few replays are really needed...I would suggest creating a myspace page or using a taxi link (if you have one) since those players auto repeat (and the sliders work), making it easier to critique the various sections more closely....but this really has nothing to do with the music, just the ease of getting a more in depth critique).Regards,Q

Hey Q,MANY MANY THANKS for the detailed response.... It was a novel :c)Yeah I'm gonna work on extending the track a little, except I'm not gonna repeat anything, where it ends, I'm going to break it into another part - you know how tool's music is... It sounds like 8 different songs in one HAHAHAHAHA....I fixed the issue in the beginning... The guitar part was most definately sitting in the wrong frequency (way too low) so I eq'd it a bit and it sits more comfortably... although I'm still not finished with the entire track....Another thing, I still need to record bass guitar over it all, would use synth bass but I HATE the way vsti bass sounds in a song other than pop...Yeah I've got a myspace page, suppose I should update it sometime.... oops.... I got blisters from playing the drums on this song, It was like a cardio work out....Thanks again for your input... MUCH APPRECIATED
