still out of tune/pitch?

Post by thaman » Fri Jan 25, 2008 6:36 pm

hi all,i recently submitted this instrumental song to two listings, and both came back with the reviewers saying that there were problems of pitch/intonation...please, if you can, listen attentively and let me know whether you think there are still pitch/intonation issues, and if so, on what instrument(s) specifically. the song is called "levity". thanks so much, ramanwww.taxi.com/ramansachdev

The guitar strumming sounds shaky in the tuning, try to record that again with different chord positions, but the solo is pretty good except a small bit around the 2:00 mark, then it seemed shaky in tuning again. So brighter sound in the strumming and you could fix it, think 90% of the problem lies in the strumming and chord positions there.Good job though overall.

Hey thaman,Yeah, I'd say the strumming sounds out-of-tune, at least to my ears. What kind of acoustic guitar are U using? There, may lie the problem. The lead part does sound out-of tune at times as steini suggested. Kinda' goes in & out. Something is goin' on with the guitar itself. Then you bring in what sounds like some electric guitar chords around 1:58, and those sound out of tune to me too. The parts are REAL pitchy all over, unfortunately, and breaks up the cohesiveness of the tune. Sorry, just tryin' to give it to ya' STRAIGHT!ibanez468
