"I would have started with the ending riff: ba ba da ba da ba POW and then in to the melody "Love it, but I think you need to go strait into the melody right away - killer guitar playing, btw!!then the synth parts and more guitar later to make it more NEWS-Y.The way it is, I see it as great corporate video music. Nice nice nice work Bruce!

Re: Help me out on this one guys!
Ibanez, the two main things holding this back is that it is not "typical" news/current affairs music, and that the overall production is not really up to broadcast quality standards. As others have mentioned, the biggest offender there is the drums, which sound too mechanical and machine like...or not enough . In other words, if you're going for an acoustic drum sound, it has to be more realistic, if you're going for a non acoustic sound, it has to be more hip and interesting. And I think that fill at the top is really the kiss of death , so definitely take that out...

I mentioned in one of my other posts, that it was probably dated material. Yeah, looks like the drums are the big offender. What a bummer. As I mentioned previously, it'll be somethin' I'll have to get back to at some point in time. But I'll be keepin' a record of your critique for future reference. Thanks for your input. It means alot.ibanez468

Hey, Ibanez....I'd like to listen to your tune.....do you have it another link besides TAXI? I can't access TAXI links, but if you have it on a Myspace page or some other type link, I might be able to hear it. Sorry about that.
