I like the drums in the chorus, does that help? There's something about the snare sound in the verses that isn't right.....I can't tell if it's a program but it somehow sounds a little artificial. Is it the mix?I like this song, reminiscent of U2, neat.

Hi Michael,I like the drums, I personally like a looser sounding snare ( personal choice), I think the cymbals crashes could be more distinct. Really like your voice ( or who ever is singing ). the only other comment is the sudden volume increase at 2:56 I feel is too much, it kind of slammed me out of a nice place the tune was bringing me.Very nice, over all, this should be a deal maker for you!!Happy New Year!Bob

excellent tune. I agree the snare is a little underwhelming in the beginning, but it seems to blend ok later on. I didn't have an issue personally with the volume change at 2:56 btw. seems like the same volume as the previous choruses. overall i think the mix is good. This is a really good song, btw. nice hook, catchy melody. well done!

I haven't been here in months, so I thought I'd pop my head in and see how things are doing. Also Michael provided this link for me after I requested it. Lol.I like the song, personally, but then I did have some input into it. A belated Happy New Year to all

Hi guys,Nice song! Great to hear Michael's voice as always! Here's the thing that bugs me about the arrangement: The chorus becomes so diffuse sonically that the syncopated snare part takes the drive away. Something needs to be doing a strong 16th note groove in the chorus, whether it's a dry, bright acoustic guitar or a tambourine or a hi hat. I'd take the drums to 1/4 notes on the ride and a strong 2 and 4 on the snare and have something do that 16th pattern. Then you can go back to that nice syncopated drum pattern in the verses. Also the drum part in the pre chorus isn't working for me either but maybe if the chorus part changed, it wouldn't be an issue. It almost telegraphs the chorus too soon because it's so similar to the chorus pattern.Great songCritique brought to you by your picky-ass forum member Mazz!!
