Got my first and second forward in the same week!

Post by kilroyrock » Fri Aug 14, 2009 2:45 am

Signed up a few months ago, and have applied to a bunch of listings, always getting good scores, but it's always something. Then, I get the results for the network television show looking for upbeat songs, and they accept my song until i'm dead. And 3 days later, america's funniest videos (or a show similar to it) got until i'm dead. What's funny is it's modern, but it's still a 2 minute no frills pop song with big guitars. Who knew, maybe I should go back to my 16 year old writing techniques and update them a little. I tend to write the little songs for the hell of it to clean out the cobwebs for better stuff, yet that's the song that's getting pulled in time and time again.you can hear the song up at www.stupidhero.net and the others i've been submitting if you're interested in checking it out. Now let's see if I can make us some money!
I run a pro tools studio if you need recordings done, let me know, it's priced quite affordable.

Hi Kil, Congrats on the forwards - well as many have found out, including myself, it's often the ones you think are rubbish or the ones you knock out quickly that find a home first. The ones you spend weeks or months over and think are your best might come in right at the back - but not necessarily. There's just NO telling. Depends what certain people are looking for and when and why and so on. You just have to write as much as you can and get it out there!Best of luck with the forwards!Georgie
