Hey all, I put together a little diddy for the "Dog Songs" dispatch listing. Unfortunately it was not forwarded, but it will make a nice addition to the kids' album I'm working on. Anyway, if you have time to take a listen and give me some feedback on production, I'd be grateful.http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInf ... 1146Thanks a bunch,Larry

Re: Good Day To Be A Dog
It's a fun song and would go great on a album of kids' songs. I wonder if they were looking for songs that weren't necessarily about dogs. Both songs they listed aren't really about dogs. It would be interesting to know what songs were forwarded to see if that guess (and that's all it is) is anywhere near accurate. As far as production goes, my only issue was the sound of the drums. I'm not even sure really what about them bothered me. Maybe others have a better idea - or maybe I'm just completely up in the night.Trent

Thanks, Trent. Not being forwarded for this listing wasn't that big of a let down to me since I was more focused on writing a fun kids' song. I guess you could say the dispatch listing motivated me to get off my butt and write something. However, a forward and a subsequent movie placement wouldn't have been bad either I think the snare drum is too far back in the mix myself. And my cymbal crashes aren't mixed right. Also, the guitar solo is a little thin. It was kind of a rush job to make the dispatch deadline.Larry
