Hey Zach:I'm diggin' the rootsy, tribal drum/guitar thing, yay! I think the production could use some tweaking to make it less muddy, there's lots of low-end on the first two that could stand to be clarified and separated a little bit more but I don't know if you're studio-dependent and this would cost you more than you already put in. Could you post the lyrics? If that's you singing, your diction is quite good but it helps to read the words along with the music.I wouldn't necessarily call your music jazz or even funk as you describe yourself......I hear roots, alternative (which I like a lot). But someone else more informed than me can probably be more exact than I can. I like it!

Squidlips,Thanks for taking a listen Yeah, we are in the mist of re-evaluating our description of ourselves. Our last CD would be a more of a jazz funk, where this up comming CD still has elements of that (just not these 3 songs). RE: MuddinessI will relisten and take your comments into serious consideration. I am always looking to make the songs sound the best it can, so thank you very much.RE: Rootsy soundWe are so much influenced by so much around us and what we listen to. We don't ever think lets make this a fusion song, and this one a rock song, and this one that and that one this. It just turns out that way and I am just happy others can hear different things in our music and is enjoyed! These would be more on the funk-jazz side of us:Walking the Doghttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=23801&stream=1RE: LyricsThat's my brother Kyle singing. I'm the sax player. I'll get the lyrics up soon. Thanks again for your input. It is very valuable to me!-Zach

I'm listening to "Jonnie" Great song with cool instrumentation. Theres a great instrument snaking around the back ground, I can't tell what it is through my crappy computer speakers, maybe just a distorted guitar? The song has a great push/pull vibe. The sax is great too. I agree with squidlips about the style...roots/alternative...good luck, sounds great.-Dax
