Blues theme for horror movie biker?

Post by matthewhaw » Mon Nov 05, 2007 4:51 am

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone else posted anything for the listing that needed a blues track for a indie horror film about the movie that comes to life and starts killing people. Mine strays pretty far from the Eric Clapton - Blues before sunrise reference but who cares, i was thinking bad ass biker and that i could show more attitutde than their reference I wrote and recorded my song in about 6 hours and then my computer had some seriouse malfunctions so i couldn't mix it and send it in before i had to leave town for work :S but anyway heres mine tell me what you think and let me hear yours!-M.R.H.The track is Blues/rock Track 1 on my taxi page.

Hello,Nice guitar work In terms of that listing, they were looking for vocal tunes. I had a song forwarded - details are in this thread:http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... 193306272I think your song would flow smoother if the drums had more of a shuffle feel. The guitars have it, and I miss it in the drums. If those are MIDI drums, you may be able to "style quantize" them into a shuffle feel.

Thanks for the kind words, I do love playing slide guitar.... so much fun. As for vocals i jsut didn't have time to get that far (nor am i much of a singer ) This is just a rough mix and i was going to add some leads or something in the bigginning to add soem variety there and redo a couple of the guitar parts that were a little loose due to the speed of creation haha. Your's sounds great Paults, I really like you voice.-M.R.H
