Mazz,Wow, I love the track! I can totally picture it behind a current affairs or newsmagazine lead-in. I listened to it several times just because it's cool!Fantastic job on the instrumentation & mix - it has a great rythmic groove and lots of little percussion touches that keep it interesting and tell us where the beat is. And, best of all, it has that wide open sound field that's so often missing in "home studio" mixes (you know, where everything's panned within 20 degrees of center and right up front).Definitely let us know if you get a forward on that - if not, there's no way I'm going to venture into library listings... Elser,I like your track, but it needs an injection of some of the elements I was raving about above (no, not the mix - that isn't bad at all).A couple of things: The synth patches sound a little dated to me (kind of '80's) and I don't think that intro did you any favors - sounds a little comedic which I don't think was your intention. It's hard to tell, at first, what the "mood" of the piece is. I would recommend canning the intro and getting right into where the main synth riff comes in - that's where it starts to get good. Maybe 1 bar for intro rather than 4 or 8.Also, I felt it could really use some subtle percussion stuff (listen to Mazz's track) not just to make it interesting, but to let us know, right away, precisely where the beat is. I think that's an area that gets overlooked a lot - it's important to suck the listener in, and I've always felt that, as a listener, I'm "reserving judgement" until I know exactly where the "groove" is.I think your basic musical idea is sound, though. Just needs some more spit & polish. Best of luck!

Thankyou. It was originally intended as a 'Happy Endings' piece for a medical show. I think it sucks in alot of ways but in some ways it doesn't. Now doesn't that sound intelligent? Elser
