Squids, it's a fantastic piece, no doubt about it. I am undecided about whether you should speed up the pace on it a bit.....I mean, you could go with this slower pace, and it would still be great.I know it's probably supposed to be a little slower and reflective anyway, so I'm most likely wrong.No matter what, you'll probably get a foward on it.....I'm betting the house on it, hehe.....beautiful, beautiful stuff.

Thanks guys, I appreciate that. And all y'all are right, it will help to change the title (why do I have such a hard time letting go of that? ).And chits, what you're probably feeling in there is that it's a part of a much larger piece that I simply didn't have the bucks to record. This is the tail end of it. And it did have a quicker tempo to it in spots. Good ear, there.

Hi squid,beautiful piece. Really beautiful. I rarely listen to something i'm critiquing on here twice...I did in this case purely for enjoyment... . Very marketable I think, although the title needs to change into something descriptive if you're trying to pitch it to instrumental listings. Which you definitely should when an opp comes up .About the only thing I could hear is that I think the strings should have a little more of a "swell" in them on the first note, start a little softer and swell up, the way a real section would play an entrance note like that. But that's a minor detail and really just something to keep in mind for future compositions.Music library applications for this piece range from news magazines, to reality shows, to vignettes in daytime talk shows, to commercials obviously...not so much "movie soundtracks" as others have suggested since this type of cue would be written by the film's composer.You're a very talented individual, so hang in there and keep writing. And judging by this, instrumentals should definitely be part of your game plan. matto

Thank you, Matto. That means a lot to me. I'm going to invest in some better string programs (thanks to Vikki's advice) and work on swells, etc. And I'll be sure to change the title to fit the opp, if I find an opp, that is. I appreciate everyone's advice and the time they took reviewing this song. And for being so gentle on me. I was skeert!

Wow!Very good! Emotional and evocative. I love it.Was going to make a comment about the strings, but Matto already did. There's basically nothing wrong with the actual sound of the strings, it's merely about getting some expression to them. There's no doubt in my mind you will find an opp for it!Keep it up!
