URGENT Feedback Required

Post by hummingbird » Wed Sep 19, 2007 6:59 pm

Hi - I have an opp to pitch this (short) wierd piece to an opp (doc on witchcraft), deadline tomorrow. Music supervisor is VERY selective about sound quality. I ran this by DaveW earlier today... and have spent the evening remixing based on his feedback. Objective feedback needed --- instruments, voice & production... do they sound good quality & well-produced to you? The Covenhttp://www.vikkiflawith.com/song/9THANKS!!!

I think the sound quality is ok. There is hiss though, that might be a problem if they´re very selective. The mmmm sound (panned center) is maybe too loud and I would add some (more) reverb to it, not too much. It is spooky alright

This is one of the best things I've heard from you Vikki! I really like it a lot! You've nailed the pitch as far as I can tell. Your creative imagination really comes through here. Excellent!Yes, there's some hiss from the effects but it doesn't take away from the vibe of the piece and may even add to it, in my opinion. This piece really shows what you can do and when you get the gig, you can focus on the production end a bit more.Very, very cool. Good luck on the pitch.Mazz

It is spooky alright hi - I added a little reverb to that track & edited some stuff slightly & reloaded. I think it's cleaner now, at least in terms of everything having space.thanks for the listen & feedback!!!

That's a pretty catch melody, especially the "hook"... been stuck in my head all day. I predict a favorable outcome on this.

Hmmmm, your website let me get in easily and listen to your music, Vikki....so here are my thoughts. This is GREAT! I love to watch scary movies, and your work here made my hair stand on end....I even wanted to cover my eyes, it was so creepy. It really sets the mood. Very good job....I see a foward in your future.

Thank you all! The publisher has submitted the piece to the opp (meaning I 'got a forward'). Keep your fingers crossed!!
