looking for some feedback - production

I'm totally open to new information and if you have a link to a book or article that talks more about this concept I'd love to check it out. Anything that helps the music move the listener is a great thing to have in the rep!I'm going to go back to one of the best books I've ever seen on production, "Mixing With Your Mind". Bluez: Some of my music is more classical in nature, and I've tried various effects, mic mixing and panning on this type of music. I have a couple thoughts on the new vs. old version; but first - what instrument are you using to play the lead melody line in the new version?

Hi everyone -- again, thank you all for your comments and suggestions. Jewelwing, to answer your question, the lead instrument is a cello.You all have been very helpful, and am working on implementing the recommended changes.
