(like maybe a Shania Twain-like country-crossover singer)3. Any artists you think it would be really good for?4. All other comments welcome.Song title: "FAITH"www.mp3unsigned.com/showmp3.asp?mp3id=48355 Thanks,Dean

Re: Would this song get forwarded?
1) It is always hard to guess at what someone else will think of a song, forwards depend on (from what I was told anyway) Firstly, it MUST match the listing, the reviewer must feel it does. Secondly but equally important (if the listing is for using the song with airplay in any form such as TV/FILM) is MUST be broadcast quality or an exceptional home recording if stated. My opinion is you meet the quality requirement. It is a nice clean, clear recording.2) Forward on an artist really depends on the listing. Most listings ask for Bio's of an artist and since ya have no Bio for a female singer included here I can't even begin to tell you my own opinion.3) Amy Grant popped into my head when I heard it.4) I really like your song Dean, I believe it shows a real talent across the board. Recording, arrangment, mixing and mastering. The singer you had sang it so wonderfully. She is good!!Only 2 things that stood out to me, I didn't like the drum part at 1:39 and again at 3:04 & 3:11. The "skip" sound in the drum fills seems out of character for the feel of the song. Also, the guitar lead kept in the background was fine and fit well at the end untill the vocal ended with the light "taps" continuing. That seemed out of character. I am sure the guitar continuing would grow on me, Especially since I love rock guitar. I am just telling you that at the first few listenings these things stood out in a bad way. And our business is all about the first time heard. I would be failing you as a fellow artist if I didn't warn ya about how I honestly felt. Other then that AWESOME job! I love this song, the singer and the way ya put it together. Beautfil job, well done!!

Re: Would this song get forwarded?
I don't really know enough to say if it would get forwarded. It all depends on the listing requirement of what you submit it to I guess. But what a good song, and very well sung too. I think the hook is strong, and generally the production is good. Now the bad news The guitar is killing it. I didn't like it at the beginning, I thought it sounded pretty thin, as if it was DI'd. When it came in at the end it sounded just as bad, plus there are also some pitch nasties there too. Yes, you guessed it, i'm primarily a guitarist so call me Mr. Picky, but it just seems a shame to spoil such a good song with a mediocre guitar part.Apart from that though, great job to all involved and the best of luck with the song.
It's a fine line between a thick soup and stew.

Golding, Songwriter,Thank you both for your comments. Much appreciated. They are helping us to figure out what we have in this song, what changes we might need to make, and what we might want to do with it as far as pitching it.Dean

My guess (and that is all it is) is this song would be forwarded if you hit the listing request somewhere near the center of the target. A very good song in my opinion. I really like it. I like the call/response on more worry, more hurry. Beautiful singing.Structurally, your song seems to have hit the money too. It is a tad long, but not really for a slow song, I hope.

Re: Would this song get forwarded?
Only negative comment on the performance was the drummer and the poor fills, especially off of the snare. The song did not particularly strike me. It kind of didn't go anywhere. I only listened to it once and I think there may have been a bridge around 3/4 through but it wasn't enough of a change to stick out. The song hung around the key of F a bit much. If you could get away from that in at least part of the song it would help the mundane feeling.
