Electronic Rock - Type One

Post by jneme » Mon Aug 21, 2006 10:25 pm

[Type One]Here's the full version - I imagine a radio edit would cut about the first 35 seconds, and probably the first 4 bars of the bridge. But I'd rather get feedback on the full song.Looking specifically for critiques on the structure as it's a bit unusual. {verse, chorus, verse as interlude, verse, chorus, bridge1, bridge2, chorus}This is a rough cut from a studio session we're ultimately not going to be using, but I like it because it was recorded live in one take.--------------------------------MyspaceMain Site

I thought this was pretty current sounding as a whole, although I was thinking STYX in the intro section... I know you said this was a rough cut, but I think some work to help distinguish the chorus a little more would help alot... I can find it after a few listens, but initially I felt like it wandered some in the extended verse (or pre-chorus) section mainly due to the arpeggio sounds in the background being so constant... Overall good tune...Keep tracking,Dave

Thanks man, that's a good point I hadn't thought about. I'll see what I can do to spice up the arrangement surrounding the chorus.
