Re: Bring 'Em Home
First off, I really like the track. You've done a great job of making it interesting and different from what is already out there. Also the melodic vocalist is really great. I don't have a problem with anything political. I really think that if it's your passion to express your views through music, do it. So I'm all good with this one whether or not I agree with you on your opinions. I would suggest that maybe you not limit your lyrics to just talking to "black people" and turning their minds twards what your rapping about. As a white girl from Arkansas...lol...I would love to think that I matter to your music as well. I work with a lot of hip hop artists in Tulsa and this is something that we're trying to do. Music has the ability to cross all lines that imperfect human minds have drawn. I understand that you may not agree with me on this one, but I would like to challenge you to open up your music to all peoples regardless of race, gender, location or any other limitations. I also think it makes yoru music more marketable if you don't single out a certain demographic in your lyrics. Just an opinion. Your flow is outstanding as well. I really feel what you're trying to do here. Also, the placement of your choruses are very well done. You didn't "lose me" as a listener as some hip hop tends to do when they get too long in the verses. Good job on being choosy and limiting what each verse says before drawing them back in with your hooky chorus! Overall, great job! I really liked this one. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
