Hey Vikki, the first link (Xioch approaches) is really Ode to The Fellowship and the second is to Wilted Leaf.I listened to Fellowship... there is some good stuff there, but it seems to all be in one register. For my taste it needs a broader orchestral range. On the good side, this reminds me a bit of some old Jean-Luc Ponty (from his "Individual Choice" CD).

uh oh, that was cause I was using Broadjam's fancy dancy new song order thingy today.... never occurred to me, of course, that links would be different I updated them now!I appreciate the listen, and the feedback - I'm not sure what you mean by 'all one register' - there are two or three key changes in the song? What was it you thought should be different? Oh, maybe you think there should be more sopranos and basses in terms of instruments?Thanks for the "a la" - good to know!cheersMs 'Bird

Yes I meant the dynamic range of the arrangement...the highest to lowest notes. It never seemed to soar and there is not a much bottom end. I think adding that would enhance the texture, especially since you are after ambiance.

Hey Hummingbird,I listened to Fellowship as well and I kind of see where Ed is going... What I got is when I got to your break I felt relieved to hear the arpeggio keys disappear... I think if you could put that break or something similar half way through the beginning section it might help... I like your use of tones throughout (although I am the fence with the reso sound).. Just my thoughts, you are way out of my league in composing for sure... Lastly your imagery tied to your song description seemed right on to me...
