Well... OK then. You asked. I'll tell you what I think.Walter the Orange Ocean - I cannot pass up the opportunity to listen to an artist with a name like this. Beautiful voice and exquisite trip-out harmonies. All 'round loveliness. However, I do not get the waltz-rhythm of the verses. It gives the song a context that I feel totally contradicts the lyric (someone that loves you - very uplifting) and the tone of this delicate singer. You asked. Sorry. The nylon guitar runs, on the other hand, work so well. Such a lovely voice in such a weird context. Good voice - strange rhythm. Nay great voice. Super sensitivity. In terms of my interest - Vivek Shraya is a name not a million miles away from Walter the Orange Ocean. Great contrast beween verse and chorus - an essential trick in good songwriting (so my own Taxi critiques tell me). A solid voice - a little duller on the lower register but can rip in that chorus (which I can't stop humming). That voice and acoustic gtr only part is a perfect example - a little dull. Or maybe it seems dull coz the chorus shoots so good. Not a bad song at all!! Chorus outstanding.Which leaves us with Michael Logen - such an ordinary name after the last two. Love those gtr whale noises. Love inducing potion - bottom of this swell. The boy can write words. Love songs should be written like this. Again super hook in the chorus. This guy's voice is excellent in the parts of the song with space - when you can hear him tremble with the delicacy of these lyrics. I really like this song - a very, very good effort.Micheal gets my vote (not only because of the regular name). there is little to call between the technical aspects of these artists - great singers and comparing the three of them in one listen is comparing a very privileged subset.I wish them well.I also wish I could sing and write like this.

I listened to all three. Walter's song was definitely my favorite in terms of songwriting. I liked the lyrics and the melody very much. Michael's sounded most commercial but that's what made it too predictable to me. Vivek has a good voice and an interesting song but I could literally not understand a word. So if you're counting votes, Walter gets mine. Though I think the song title should be changed (the title is "Someone Who Love You" but he sings "Someone That Loves You"). Let us know who wins.Nomi
