That could mean anything from Britney Spears to Avril to Norah Jones.I don't think Norah Jones would fit with this listing, it specifically asks for contemporary POP instrumentals. Your safest bet would be to submit something that you hear in regular rotation on a top 40 station. If you wanted to be a little risky and do a more indie like artist then maybe something like Bloc Party, The Ting Tings, or Young Love but I personally would stick to a top 40 artist. Something that is undeniably a contemporary pop song, and Norah Jones (though she has had some top 40 play) is not in that category IMO.Sept 7, 2009, 7:00pm, georgeptingley wrote:Looks like the reviewer simply made a mistake and was reading the wrong listing when writing the critique. Is this not possible?I guess anything is possible, but what makes you think that this is what happened here? Ebjazz's track is a beautifully crafted and performed piece of music, but it is a jazz type of piece and he submitted to a listing asking for contemporary POP instrumentals. While I agree with gavink that his piece does have a Norah Jones type of sound to it, Norah Jones just isn't close enough to the contemporary pop genre to get a forward on a listing like this.-Steve
