No Surprises, No Problem

A couple of days ago I submitted a song for custom review. I already figured I knew most of the answers that would come back and well, the fact that I was perfectly correct in almost every detail still didn't give me as much satisfaction as I might have expected. First off I want to say the review was extremely accurate in most every respect. But as it is for most everyone else who does this, there was probably a small spark of hope that I would end up being totally surprised with a glowing review. I was not. And though it would have been nice to receive accolades all over the place, they simply were not deserved and my confidence in the competence and honesty of Taxi's reviewers (at least this one) was greatly strengthened. So, yeah, I've got more work ahead of me, but I knew that going in. The one thing I was looking for more than anything else was confirmation that, if not a diamond in the rough, at least the song is worth the effort of perfecting. Thanks, Taxi. There will be more to come.
