The screener in this instance would be the President of the company, so you had the ear of the person in charge.Vikki, are you sure about this? You're saying that Taxi just passed the music on without doing ANY pre-screening? There are times when it would be nice if Taxi, even if providing no full critique, would offer at least one sentence about why a piece was rejected. It would be helpful in learning how to avoid similar pitfalls for future listings.RichardWhen the listing says the listing party screens all the submissions, that's exactly what happens. And they don't just come in and listen. They have to take the training (if they haven't already). They are assigned a screener number all their own. So there is no pre-screening, and the listing party knows that going in. If you have further questions about this, call Taxi's toll-free line and ask.TAXI has said that they have the programmers working on a very short check list for non-critique listings, so we know this is in the works, but when it will actually happen I don't know.HTH

To some extent or other I also used Reaktor, Distorted Reality, Rare Instruments, me on VG8-processed guitar, and probably some other Emu samples and home made plucked piano string samples. I'm at work now so I don't have the sequences in front of me, but that's probably a pretty accurate list.

I'm sure people had a variety of experiences with him, but for me, he was the most unique person I've ever known. RichardOh, he was unique alright. I was a fan until I met him. But in my interfaces w/ him and his "bodyguard", I found him to be rude, arrogant, belittling and mean-spirited. As a chauffeur, My job was to be mostly invisible and just take care of the clients. In that that job, I met a lot of "stars" and they ranged from warm and friendly (i.e. Jeff Beck) to cold and aloof (i.e. Sting), but generally they were as least professionally cordial. Zappa was not. He went out of his way to be a jerk and obviously enjoyed the game of making life miserable for "hirelings". I actually threatened to quit instead of driving him the second time, but the Limo company gave me a bonus (more like hazard pay), because he had requested "THE SAME DRIVER AS LAST TIME!!!" And no, he was no better that time. I guess he just wanted to pick up where he left off.You must be a talented musician, because I know he was a musical genius and demanded the best from his band. I am glad you enjoyed your time with him, but there was a side that I guess you didn't see. Lucky you.Wodinlord
