Again, not trying to bring down Taxi or anything like that. Just want to know why a listing that evidently was for orchestral pieces didnt include the ORCHESTRAL when they ran the listing, or didnt specify it when I called. Anyone can make a mistake, it happens. I just want to know what happened. I always said Taxi was a facilitator to get me from point A to point B. I just want to know who mentioned point C regarding this listing.

Well, I may as well let out some of my frustrations regarding listings. Yes I am a newbie and as such, believe it is an art, to be able to target your music with a listing, for me anyway. I have decided to start my own music library, matching the required listings with the ala blah blah blah.I also emailed Taxi and asked if it would be possible to link past successful forwards (snips ) to the listings to give us muso's a feel of what they are looking for, this way we can then have a mood or feel for our creations. I hope I didn't do the wrong thing! I guess I'm just frustrated being a newbie and wanting to at least have a target to aim for instead of shooting myself in the foot Gracia's for listening amigos. Hi Laura, and everyone else on this thread. I've only just found this thread. First let me say I submitted 3 pieces to this listing and 2 of them got forwarded. They were all orchestral but I didn't know they HAD to be, obviously, it's just what I write. Secondly, I also had great difficulties interpreting this listing and I emailed taxi for clarification. I've looked for their reply, but it was so unhelpful, I think I deleted it. I was very confused about them using the word "classical" in the first place. Did they mean they wanted ala Bach or Mozart? "Classical" composers these days tend to write contemporary style and often include electronic elements in their music, or modern percussion. How modern could a piece be? But look at this listing again: CLASSICAL COMPOSERS are wanted by the VP of an Independent Record Label who specializes in Classical, Jazz, Broadway, Ballet and Opera releases. They are looking for new talent to add to their catalog which already includes many internationally well-known artists and composers. You can submit either original or traditional/cover pieces that are in Public Domain only. Please submit two to three compositions online or per CD, include bio. See what I highlighted? I didn't read that as the listing was for composers AND/OR artists. I took that as the record label have artists on their catalog. The heading of this listings only asks for composers, not artists. I thought that part of it was clear. I do think it's funny that Moszkowski's composition didn't make the grade! It just shows you what a subjective thing this all is. And Laura, I heard that piece and it was incredible and so is your playing!I seriously think you should be refunded for this one as you put in 4 submissions. Georgie

Georgie, I remember we discussed this one because we didnt understand it too well. I got an answer from Taxi and I still dont understand it, so I am still confused about what they wanted, but that will not keep me from trying in the future. If a listing like this surfaces again I dont know what I would do, either forget about that listing or calling again to clarify it and making a note of the person I speak to. This may help or not, who knows? Would you mind posting one of your forwards so maybe we have an idea what the heck that listing was about_? That might help or not, again, I am still confused
