Alright! That clarifies things! I thought the PT LE version could be compared to Cubase LE, and that is a lower version. Well, I actually checked out the 003 package today with PT, but I thought that was the full version included? I used pro tools back in 1997 in school, I guess it has come a long way since then, so I don't know so much about it any longer.

re PT I thought the project folders were interchangeable without export to LE? Also I think you can use it with the budget audiophile pci cards.pros use PT for ease of project sharing.I love reaper and there is a free trial . Also free is the finest manual ever written for a daw imho.Personally I would not submit to this. Its not the midi tricks as much as your ideas/experience.I am not saying this will happen but it is already too easy for people to take an idea from person A and match it with an idea from person B swap out the sounds and change a note here and there and quite legitamately come out with something that is theirs and not yours.I made a decision to stay away from film/tv unless what I was producing was very hard for people to recreate with midi. That is why I think big blue will go from strength to strength.I got a forward on a comedy instrumental. It took me two days to create the very original soundscape. The music was ok but it was the oddball "sound" that would sell it.8 months later I heard the "exact" sound but different notes/music on paramount comedy.I dont know if someone else came up with that sound but it crossed my mind that anyone can recreate your ideas so easily and reap the rewards.I have to add that this submission offers $500-700 for your ideas so he is being upfront about what he will pay for them. Does he expect to be able to manipulate this data to create derivative works or is it just for quick turnaround for small client edits?ps I am a cynic.Good luck all

Wow guys, I feel like a monkey thats been taken out of the jungle and placed infront of a nuclear plants operating console.I have been away from the music scene since the late 80's .I simply record from my yammy psr1500 to the yammy Aw1600, fumble constantly until it sound as best as I can get it.Man! I can't ever load the cubase programme that came with the recorder. I just stay away from these submissions. Wish me luck amigos.DomingoSheringo

It's definately a cheaper way into PTLE.Scott
