NO many listings with Taxi critiques!
Did anyone noticed that lately there are very few listing were taxi will give a criticque!! I am sure that at one time there were many more listings were taxi was prepeered to give a critique. It was really helpful at time for me. I would send a track fully knowing that it would be returned just for the criticque!!Anyone can explain.RegardsTINO

Dont understand why, Tino. Someone mentioned time but I see listings that appeared on May 1st due in June and yet they are Y/N listings. Me personally, I think I am going to submit only to listings with critique from now on.

But don't forget that you get a mini critique now. I've had some really useful comments on those.Georgie

Re: NO many listings with Taxi critiques!
I'm with K.O. on this, the P2P forum has been the most useful thing with my Taxi membership. I struggle with many of the listings as there are simply common themes throughout each and every new sheet- If you sound like the Kings of Leon you have a ton to submit to, only problem for me is I have never heard of them (God Bless YouTube). Like BrindaBella I have chosen to only submit to those that offer a full critique for awhile, unless I see a listing with my own name in it

I got a couple of returns that were listed as y/n, but they had brief critiques anyway.

Re: NO many listings with Taxi critiques!
Yeah, I agree. I think I'll only be submitting to full critque listings from here on.I submitted a song to the "ORIGINAL SOUTH AFRICAN FOLK INSTRUMENTALS" listing. I colaborated with South African guitarist Llew Pearce, who toured throughout the world playing South African music with South Africans. We debated for a while on what South African Folk Instrumentals could mean, and we finally settled on the folky-funk you hear on every street corner in Johannesburg. Our song, Mbaqanga Stomp, was returned because "It could have sounded more authentic."And of course, it was a YES/NO, so all I got was that one sentence explanation.Well, tell me my production wasn't up to par.Tell me I suck as a bassist. But to tell me that a South African songwriter can't write an authentic South African folk song doesn't really ring true to me.Didn't mean to rant, just to say I agree that YES/NO listings really seem to be a waste of time, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.JeremyI'd love to get feedback of any kind on this piece, because I think it's great, well-produced and very appropriate for the listing, yet it was returned, and I'm just trying to figure out why.www.jeremybirdsall.com/MUSIC.htmlMbaqanga Stomp is the first track.
