Re: Some sort of new Taxi service??
OK, this is funny: I just got one of these saying that based on my past submissions, they thought one of my tunes would fit for a listing calling for acoustic guitar instrumentals. The punch-line? I've never even submitted anything close to an acoustic guitar instrumental.Apparently they've got some fine-tuning to do, but it is a good idea.At some point, with this and the TAXI push, I expect that they'll take the dive and just start their own library service. Seems the logical progression.

I agree... the new listing reminder is awesome! That does sound cool. I haven't gotten any, so I'm assuming there are no country listings that I might be interested in! Either that or AOL is screwing with the listing reminders the same way they screw with my never getting email telling me that a Taxi review has been received.Claire

I like the service idea... One can always just hit Delete... Compared to all the other crap in my inbox, it's especially good! Vat can it hoit? Along the same lines of humor (yes, humor), I did feel like writing back, as a joke, "Will the screener like it better this time?"...cAsEy

Re: Some sort of new Taxi service??
I'm down on the type of e-mail fusilierb is referring to. I got one last week and to me it smacked of automation - it was only very vaguely in my ball park of alt rock. The bands named were (I think) Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire. I'm sure if I submitted to such a listing it'd be returned as being off target.Would it be credible to suggest that the mails might go out automatically if there is a low number of submissions to a listing? OK idea, but needs fine tuning.
