2 ALT. Rock Instrumentals
Hi guys... I posted this in Peer to Peer but noticed this is where most of this stuff gets reviewed.... first try here... all comments welcomed..Thanks, GeoIs this life?http://www.taximusic.com/download/17849 ... ..mp3Maybe I'll Jamhttp://www.taximusic.com/download/178168/Maybe ... T-SOUNDING, RADIO READY AAA/ALT ROCK/INDIE POP INSTRUMENTALS in the range of Editors, Arctic Monkeys, Dirty Pretty Things, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party, Cold War Kids, The Libertines, Babyshambles, The Strokes, Muse, etc. are wanted by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA, etc. (to name just a few). They want songs that build and grow, with melodic and dynamic variation. You may consider editing down a full-length song in order to avoid long sections of repetition, since this company NEEDS to have tracks that are changing & building constantly. You can submit tracks that range between 1-4 minutes in length and be sure there are NO VOCALS on these tracks. They want material that sounds like it could be on the radio, but will only be interested in Instrumental versions for this listing. Broadcast quality is necessary, though excellent home recordings should be fine. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than October 29, 2008. TAXI # Y081029AR

Re: Sports Instrumental
Hi Geo, your link goes to a song with vocals on it. Are you planning an instrumental version or is the link wrong? Just wanted to let you know.Elser

Re: 2 ALT. Rock Instrumentals
Hey GEO! (*Devin updates Avatar & handle cross reference...GEO=AMP*)I noticed the slight migration of "Peer to Peer" to this section when dealing with listings too. Hopefully we can get some traffic going past I liked the way you start to rock out around 1:24 on "Is This Life"...good stuff! Unfortunately, for me, the synth sounds...ah...too "synth" during the call/response with the guitar at that point...does that make sense? Don't listen to me though, I'm only barely starting to understand the genre, and perhaps some of the referenced artists have the same thing going on.I like the way "Maybe I'll Jam" comes back to the piano...and great fretwork on this one, all kinds of new/classic tones going on! I'm wondering if a thinner cymbal hit during the faster parts would blend a bit better? There's one cymbal you've got now (more on the right side of the headphone?) that has a deep sound with a long decay...it just seems a bit too noticeable to me with the headphones on. It could be that you've carved out such a nice wide spot in your mix, that anything in there is going to be huuuge. Maybe a volume tweak is all that it needs? I dunno (*"Milfus-shrug*).As always, that's just my $0.02. I wish I knew a bit more to be able to offer more. I'm still nodding along to "Maybe I'll Jam"...great groove with the changes you've got, it hooks up really nice.Peace...
