Cool - I like that you get "world" right off the top.My 2 cents, I would cut the intro in half and get right to the "goodie" with the melody - again just thinking of a producer having 20 secs. to grab the audience... however, it's also true that if they love the piece, that can be tweaked later....

And I'm pretty sure the producers used other networks besides Taxi to call for submissions. It will be interesting to see which piece, if any, eventually gets picked.I wonder how many people listened to the artists and songs included in the listing as styles to emulate. I did, but by the time I began working on this piece, those other songs kind of blended and faded in my memory. Richard

Hey Richard;I did listen to all the artists referenced for the King o' the hill listing -- very fun stuff! It helped me get the basic "vibe" for the listing -- and I really like Kanda Bongo Man, who was an artist I hadn't heard before. It is going to be fun seeing what song gets chosen. It was definitely a fun listing to dream up songs for!Suz

Rejected King of Hill submission

Post by anne » Fri Sep 26, 2008 7:47 am

At least I have a good piece of music to keep working on for something else. I was rejected as not right on target. Not complaining; just posting to share the clip http://www.taxi.com/kurlyqueen "A world of good"

I didn't get anything else - just an email saying "Your submission was not right on target for this listing"What did your's say?
