Raags,Here's what I use for reverb:1. Plate 140 in the UAD-1 card. This is fantastic for piano, horns, drums, flute, pretty much anything. Not meant to be a "realistic" reverb compared to a convolution reverb but it sure sounds sweet.2. IK Multimedia CSR. Just picked this up. They're models of hardware units. I used the plate on this piece and it sounds good. I haven't dug too deeply in to it yet but I like it.3. Lexicon MPX 550. A hardware unit from a few years ago. I sounds very good. It's not a high end Lexicon by any means but for certain things it works very well. i've had great luck with drums and some other things. It can get ringy on the high frequencies which is common for lower end hardware units.4. I'm beginning to use the convolution reverb built in to Kontakt 2 and 3 and I think it sounds really good. It can be used on an aux send so you can have one or two set up and send a number of channels through it. This is way more efficient than putting one on every instrument. If you've ever mixed on a mixing board with only one or two reverbs for the whole mix, you're used to doing things this way anyway.I've heard Altiverb before and I think it sounds really great, I haven't taken the plunge on it yet. For orchestral music, the convolution reverbs, like Altiverb, are probably the best bet. Since the one in Kontakt sounds so good, I'll probably stick with that for a while for orchestra stuff. I've received my EW Play orchestra upgrade but haven't installed it yet. The Play engine has a very good sounding convolution reverb as well but it can't be accessed by any other software instruments.HTH, see you soon!!!Mazz

Oh - I have to tell you this story as I think you'll enjoy it...I am orchestrating the music for a feature the next two months and the composer just sent me the main themes for the film to listen to. The film is about King Arthur and the music will have a similar sound to Lord of the Ring and Narnia. I downloaded the themes he had sent, grabbed them all from the download folder and opened them in quicktime. Then my husband and I started listening to them. I knew which themes he had sent (princess theme, Arthur's Theme, war theme etc) so instead of reading the titles I just played them and we guessed which theme it was. Then we played this theme that was really cool but just didn't seem to fit with the rest of the music. I decided to check the title and saw that it was "Happy Dog"... The last piece I had listened to from the forum was this piece and I had grabbed it from the download folder by mistake. For a moment I was surprised at the way the composer had decided to describe King Arthur...

What a hilarious idea, Lydia -- nothing like a bit of cognitive dissonance in the middle of an epic movie!BTW, AWESOME song, MAZZ! ,Suz
