2 listings - do my tracks fit?
hi folks,my question is simple: do my tracks fit the following listings in your opinion?listing 1:****QUIRKY/BUBBLY/FUN INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Leading Video Game Developer of DS and Wii game titles. They are hoping to expand their catalog of music, and are needing a wide variety of "fun" Instrumentals as background music for future video games projects for the Wii game console -- if you check out some of the current music on existing games, you can hear some of the sounds/instrumentation used. The style can range from an upbeat pop/dance/quirky/fun track to a cool/hiphop/funky track. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. my track:funny placehttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=1347 ... ***listing 2:****PUBLIC DOMAIN CHRISTMAS SONGS IN CURRENT STYLES are wanted by a Global Music Licensing and Distribution company, to build their catalog to promote toward a variety of worldwide licensing opportunities. This company offers a non-exclusive agreement and you must completely own your Master rights, in order to submit to this listing. This company is also extensively experienced in creative marketing and promotions, both with events and the production/distribution of a variety of CD projects. Artists/writers who are selected for their catalog will certainly benefit from the aggressive promotion of the material they represent. They want to find current and cutting edge, unsigned talent to promote and secure placements for on a global level. Excellent performances and a current & contemporary sound/arrangement are absolute necessities for this one -- traditional Christmas songs dressed in a current style and approach. They're primarily looking for songs with vocals, not instrumentals. Broadcast quality is necessary, but excellent home recordings should be just fine. my track:how great thou arthttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=6853 ... nks!martin

Submission for #1 sounds right on target to me. Energetic, fun, quirky, good sounds.#2 - I don't know. I really liked the intro. It's country with a touch of rock, but the tempo is quite slow. Good production and singing. I'm just not sure if it's "updated" enough. But that could just be me.

I liked the first one! I think it sounds contemporary and funny enough! I have submitted to this listing myself: Hellohttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=131275&stream=1I thought the second song was a bit too slow as well, but the production is great and the vocal stood out really good with a warm reverb! If you make it a bit faster, I think this one will work, maybe in a commercial? Maybe adding some distorted guitars?

Hey, Martin.I must agree with everybody about the first one. That is IMHO right on target. Sure to get a forward...But "How Great Thou Art" is NOT considered a Christmas song in ANY of the church groups I'm familiar with. A very well known public-domain hymn, yes, but a Christmas song...no.As far as the production values go, I'd have to also agree that it's a little slow for what I presumed they wanted when they were asking for "current sounding". But then, unlike YOU, I don't have 16,472 deals under my belt in the last 2 years...so VAT da HELL do I know? Just my $.02
