HiI have found that 99% of the time if you use sites like amazon.com, iTunes, and others and you do searches, you can quickly find samples of the "a la" songs and artists. The research only takes a few minutes. Google searches also turn up various places to hear 30 second samples of songs. If you get familiar with using the internet effectively here you will find the work effort is trivial.The ability to quickly reference other songs on-line is a skill you need anyway to pitch your music. Whether through TAXI or directly with publishers, libraries, and film/TV supervisors, there will be many requests for "sound-like" tracks. So, this is just part of the biz... (That doesn't mean your suggestion is necessarily a bad one, though I don't know the logistics )If you need any help on techniques to quickly find samples, please give me a shout.Good luck! Casey

Yeah Ricci,This isn't a bad idea, but the logistics of creating/maintaining the links, as well as any copyright infringement (TAXI is not selling the songs, so not sure if they could host the snipets).All in all, I don't think it would be possible without costing TAXI some resources, and I don't think it's worth it if it entails higher membership or submission fees.Rob

So it's as easy as a mouse click to hear the samples of music given as references. What do you think?..It doesn't slow me down at all. When the listings come out, I go through them looking for anything I feel I want to target, and create a document of my own, in date order. Everyday, when it comes time to work on music, I look at what's coming up, pick something, do my research, listen to anything in my cataloque that might be close to that.. start writing. To me it's just part of the process. I have iTunes on my computer, I can do a search for an artist or a particular song in a couple secs.H
