Great, authentic instrumental sounds and performances are essential. The overall approach should be light and playful, if somewhat suspenseful as an undertone, with the sonic emphasis placed on the percussive rhythms and tones. They offer a non-exclusive, 50/50 split deal - you keep your original copyrights. Broadcast quality needed. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. I have a major writers block for playful these days so kinda stuck here, what would be a typical song of this guy to imitate?Steini

Light and playful if somewhat suspenseful as an undertone. Try "Lemony Snicket" it's a cool Newman score and might get the juices flowing.Good luck,Mazz

Hi Mer,I really like this. To me, it projects a sense of business and concentration. Some very expressive playing going on there. I have no idea if it's on target for this particular listing, but even if it isn't, i'm sure it will find a home.

Thanks for listening, I'm glad you like it! The cellist improvising over the groove is great, isn't he? It is Hank Roberts, very impressive and expressive player!I guess I may need to work on the "light and playful" part, at least for this listing... I was using American Beauty as my "a la" inspiration, and Lemony Snicket is a lighter feel. Thomas Newman has quite a range!--Mer

steini,I listened to a bunch of pieces before, I decided not to try anything for this listing...
