submission page hard to navigate?

Post by dcandco » Sat Jan 12, 2008 7:31 am

Does anyone else think the submission page is clumsy and hard to view completely and navigate? Or is my monitor settings the problem? When I go to submit a song, the circle to check beside is is 3/4 covered by the other window, when I go t scroll down, on submission listings, I usually end up changing genres, or scrolling down wrong window. It's not impossible, just a little frustrating, and was easier on the broadjam site before. If It's my settings, I'd appreciate any advice on how to correct it. If everyone has these same issues, I'm sure Taxi would like to know about it, and consider improvements.ThanksDave

hmmm, I don't have those problems. I do sometimes have to toggle my browser window so I can get the arrows on my song list so I can scroll down. But mind you, I have a wide screen. Maybe they could move the box to the other side of the name (left side)? One change I would like to see is... my songs are in alphabetical order on my music list, but when I go to submit, they are in order of upload. It would be easier if both were alphabetical.

It would be easier if both were alphabetical.Me, I really LIKE the fact that I get to choose the order of my submissions. I guess if I truly believe in my music, I shouldn't concern myself with that detail; but far too often, I've told myself that carefully picking the flow of what the screeners hear might help my chances. I guess we'll never know if I'm right or wrong in that theory.Dave, it sounds to me like you monitor settings. Not that I know ANYTHING about computers, but the page works beautifully for me, with no clutter and easily accessible fields.I'll let someone esle give you pointers on how to confirm that possibility.Ted

So if you are submitting 3 pieces, you upload them in order of how you'd like them when the screener looks at them. But what if they are already there & have been submitted for other things, you can't revise the order at all. Personally, I don't want to have to hunt through my song list to find a song I want to submit. Alpha order makes sense to me. But then I seldom submit more than one piece at a time anyway.

Dave it looks and works fine for me, maybe you have your browser's text size set to larger than average?
