Re: Ragtime Piano Listing
Hi Bob,I like this piece, but it's definitely not Ragtime a la Scott Joplin. Primarily for the harmonic/formal reasons pointed out by kelysian and Larry.

That is perfect Chuck..I just spent all day re cutting a 60's style tune- after a power bleep wiped out 4 hours of tracks.. needles to say I was in a very bad mood.. but , your song put a smile on my face. It has a real nice feel to it.Best of luck...PS you might want to consider also scoring it for a concert band arrangement, Bob

Re: Ragtime Piano Listing
Nice piece Chuck,The only comment I have, is that most of the time the right hand in a ragtime plays more than just the melody. There may be some ragtime where that is not the case, but all that I have listened to and played over the years has been that way. I don't know if that is going to be deal breaker in this case - because everything else is pretty solid. Just something to consider.Trent

Re: Ragtime Piano Listing
Hey All, I'm going to submit this for the Ragtime piano listing. The Claire Bear Rag:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... &stream=1I know it's not traditional ragtime, but I'm going to give it a shot. Please feel free to fire away...any and all comments are appreciated. I'm especially thinking over what type of piano sound to use. The "tack" piano seems a bit cliche, and the grand piano a little too conservative. Does anyone think the piano sound will make or break a forward? Thanks in advance,CharliePS I just started a part-time high school music teaching gig at a private high school near me, and that seems to be taking a bit too much time away from my reading the boards. I'll try to keep up though.
