New Holiday Song dispatch?

Post by ljweber70 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 4:15 am

Here's a new dispatch listing;New Listing A new and growing LA-based Online Music Licensing Company needs HOLIDAY SONGS & INSTRUMENTALS - Public Domain & traditional renditions, as well as original songs for Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and New Years for Worldwide placement with Event Videographers and Photographers. This company has run past TAXI listings and has signed numerous TAXI songs. ALL STYLES/GENRES and TEMPOS are OK. This company prides itself on representing and signing artists and therefore is not interested in short cues -- your original pieces must be at least 2 minutes long to be considered (covers of PD/traditional pieces that fall short of 2 minutes are OK). You must own and control your song’s master rights as well as be the author/publisher (for your original material). This company currently represents international award-winning songwriters and composers including Grammy and Emmy winners. This is a non-exclusive deal and the company's owner will screen your submissions. Broadcast quality needed [great sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. As always, we will notify everyone via e-mail, whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. Submissions must be received no later than 12:00 NOON, Pacific Standard Time (California time), Friday, Oct. 12, 2007. TAXI # D071012HDSubmit to this listing TAXI # D071012HDWhat does it mean "the company prides itself on representing and signing artists...."Are they looking for something different except for the 2 minute requrement?I'm inclined to submit the same songs I submitted to the September Christmas listing unless someone can advise me differentlyThanks,Larry
