Happy Little Hitler
Happy Little HitlerShane Joseph TelfordYou haven't conquered Europe yetand your arms are wearing thin.Sitting in your sunchairjust taking the world inAnd you dream of domination,so tonight I'll play the slave.A pretty little punchbag,I promise I'll behave. You're a happy little Hitleras long as you're at warbut I don't think this Hitlerknows what he's fighting for. You're MY happy little Hitler, always looking for a fight.I love my Little Hitlerbut please, no battlefield tonight! You have a knack for winning,no matter what the price. You want your name remembered.Well, wouldn't that be nice?I'm definitely no Eva,I'm not that strong insideAnd if the world's against us,we'll dine on cyanide. You're a happy little Hitleras long as you're at warbut I don't think this Hitlerknows what he's fighting for. You're MY happy little Hitler, always looking for a fight.I love my Little Hitlerbut please, no battlefield tonight!

Re: Happy Little Hitler
I'm sorry to see that you haven't had feedback on this yet, Shane. There are some great ideas and I think the title is powerful. The tone seems to be very uneven. To me it feels like there's too much attention on including lots of parallels with Hitler rather than concentrating on this woman's plight. The first two verses drew me in. The second two lost me, particularly the "dine on cyanide" part, not because I don't know the history or the reference but because it doesn't seem to make sense that she would say it.I hope that helps. :/
