Nice work Squidds! Do you have a link to the song?was wondering if anyone got a forward to this dispatch listing #D070912LR, they were looking to replace the song "low rider" in a movie going straight to DVD. they needed a "sound-alike” - a song that has a similar vibe, tempo, and instrumentation. unfortunately my song was returned but i have to say that it completely blows my mind that it got returned, I really felt that I nailed it and I specifically wrote this for the listing.I wish taxi could’ve given me an explanation but it was obviously a yes/ no listing. Since it as a short time to write and record a song I only finished two verses and I cut and copied the arrangement, but I thought since it was for background in a movie it wouldn’t be a big deal. Guess not. Anyway I would love to hear the songs that got a forward to this listing. Please share and enlighten me.ThanksMarchere's a link to my reject" Funkin' Down The Highway"http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true

Blew my back out but good (thanks kg for posting the link for me) and spent the day bent over in the studio. Anyway, yes, that's me singing, I use a pro studio, I wrote the music and lyrics myself and my engineer and I arranged the instruments with input from my guitar player. I've so gotta go get outta this chair and stretch my back but I'll check out your site soon's I can. I'm sorry you didn't get the forward. Believe me, I get rejected more than anybody on the board, I bet, but sometimes I get lucky. It's hard to write specifically for these listings but keeping at it helps us get better.I'll get back to you soon's I can stand upright! Hang in there, it'll get better, you'll see.

Great track! I couldn't imagine this not being forwarded . . . but what does the PR stand for? Anyone know? Hope your back is better. As a longtime sufferer of low back problems I know what you're going through. -billg-

I'd say PR would be Pop-Rock, as it usually relates to what the listing is asking for. This was the listing:A Hit Producer/Composer/Songwriter with many cuts and film/TV credits needs a MODERN POP-ROCK SONG with simple melodies and contemporary Pop lyrics a la Kelly Clarkson, Natasha Bedingfield, Pink, Evanesence, and Ashlee Simpson for a 19-year old Female artist he's currently producing. This singer doesn't have huge diva-like vocals, so a song with a simpler melodic range will work best for her and this project. Lyrically, please stay away from Christian themes. He wants general, universal, very relateable lyrics - safe, but not bland. All tempos are OK. TAXI # D070911PRCongrats squidlips!!
