Good as Gold

Post by couchgrouch » Mon Mar 05, 2007 11:17 am

Good as GoldWe were on the beach in Waikikitill we flew home on that alarm clockand I rolled over and pounded the snoozethen I wondered how we'll do this winteron our new dresser from Rent-a-Centerwas a mortage that's a month past duethen through the curtains shined a gilded rayand it proved the rise of a priceless daywas as good as gold, as good as golda sight for the heart to beholdcos when emptiness fills the souland tomorrow looks as black as coalwell then my friend, faith is as good as goldwell, the clouds had been on strike all summerand I almost broke it to our scarecrowI was gonna feed him to our old horsethen I saw my wife's hair smooth n yellowlike a pot of treaure on the pillowand somehow my future don't feel so poorthough love won't buy as much as a dusty dimethrough the shadows of doubt it always shinesas good as gold, as good as golda sight for the heart to beholdcos when emptiness fills the souland tomorrow looks as black as coalwell then my friend, love is as good as goldthough love won't buy as much as a dusty dimethrough the shadows of doubt it always shinesas good as gold, as good as gold...(c)2007 Robert George

couchgrouch, there are hundreds of your lyrics on here, what do you do with them all? Do you write 1 or 2 new ones every day?Do you also post them on other forums as well?steve

Steve, I've got a few co-writers I work with. We demo songs here and there and I've signed some with Nashville indies. I write what I write and don't really keep track of the number, haha. You can hear some of the demoes here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=431939 You might like I Should Be So Lucky, Goodwill Coat, How Many Fingers Am I Holding Up and Closer. ps I do post on a few other forums.
