3 for 3

Post by alanwhetton » Mon Jul 30, 2007 2:07 am

Having finally decided to give Taxi a go, and recorded 3 tracks for the smooth jazz listing, I had real trouble joining. Long story! Ended up having to leave it to catch a plane to Dubai, knowing the deadline would be gone while I was away. No problem. The guys at Taxi were totally understanding and co-operative, and even extended the deadline for a few days. (Thanks guys). Now I have 3 forwards and a great critique. Long way to go, as we all know, but a great start and a real incentive

I wonder if there's a "lesson" in there somewhere?NAH! PS - What's Dubai like?

Hi Dave. Thanks for the reply. I've looked at quite a few of your posts, so I think you probably draw the same conclusion as me. Ask something reasonable of reasonable people and you all win. The rest is up to me and Lady Luck.I've also looked at your web site. Not surprise you're getting good placements. Good work.As for Dubai - HOT! 45 degrees. When you come from rainy old England it's a shock. But an amazing place, fastest growing city in the world, with very courteous helpful people. All the best, Al

Quote: Ask something reasonable of reasonable people and you all win. Couldn't have said it better. I find that 99% of the time if you contact a company directly with your concerns as opposed to trashing them on a public website, you will get results. This is true for many companies I deal with including many music website companies. There are exceptions but most companies really care about their customers. Quote:As for Dubai - HOT! 45 degrees. 45 Degrees!!! That's 113 degrees F for those of us in the US who flunked science class, LOL! Stay cool! And congrats on the forwards! Casey

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Yeah, I'm actually headed over there to play a little golf in a week. Guess I'll pack a coat!
