Really great-sounding COUNTRY SONGS & INSTRUMENTALS are needed by the Music Supervisor for a new 1-hour docu-soap series to be broadcast on a major network. It's about the day-to-day personal & professional lives of emerging country and singer/songwriter artists in Nashville. Style-wise, think very commercial Country-Pop to more Traditional: Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Brooks & Dunn, Waylon Jennings, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, Sugarland, George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, Rascal Flatts, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, etc. All tempos are OK. Great performances are a must - this supervisor wants the very best. Broadcast quality needed [great sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. As always, we will notify everyone via e-mail, whether your submissions have been Forwarded or Returned. Congrats Willie!This is quite an accomplishment, folks. Read the description of the listing. This is one of those very "high bar" listings that is talked about here all the time. Willie is a terrific songwriter with a number of significant credits to his name. (I've asked for a pint of his blood to dope myself with, but he hasn't complied yet)... Wae Ta Go, my friend Willie! Congratulations. Dreams of the West roped my muse this morning. I can hear orchestral variations on that theme, as in a movie sound track. In my mind's "eye" I see young man on the bow of a ship sailing west from Scotland. Daydreams of shining mountains rise and drift about like the smoke from his pipe. Sometimes a song can just make you feel good. I think God created the acoustic/harmonic principles of music for just that reason.Great stuff Willie, bc
