Re: My Mom!!!!
Congrats to Mom!BTW, I'm embarrased to say I just now made the connection between your name and one of your very early works, "King of Kings". FWIW, I just back from a mission trip to Matamoros, Mexico, where the kids, ages 5-15, absolutely LOVED singing and dancing to the tune they knew as "Rey de Reyes"!Nice to meet you!Jonathan

I know it was translated into a dozen languages but haven't heard them. It really lifts my spirits to hear that people so far away are enjoying the song written so long ago (I was 13 when I co-wrote it). The music business is hard and can be discouraging but it feels good to remember the success I've already had. Thanks for letting me know.Nomi

Re: My Mom!!!!
Just got back from the viewing party of Multiply By Six Million. I went to the premiere last year and I'd seen it before. But I was very surprised because at the end of the credits they added that the song was published by Nomi Yah Music. That's the name of my publishing company.Because it was added, the text looks a little different than the rest of the credits... it's bigger. My name was in big letters on the Sundance Channel and it'll be in rotation for 2 years!!! Fun stuff. It's a really well made short film, 30-minutes, and my mom's music is beautiful so if you have access to the Sundance Channel, I recommend it.Thanks to everyone for your support, I told my mom you said congratulations.Nomi

Re: My Mom!!!!
Congrats on the publising credits, Nomi! And I missed seeing your mom! I was sick as a dog last night and trying to work out a tricky cowrite and I missed it. I sure hope it comes again soon. I know it's a very dramatic piece but it's an important message. I bet you're so proud of her. That's so cool. If she was my mom, I'd be bragging on her so bad people'd leave the room when they saw me, lol.Congrats to you both!

Nomi, honey, this is SO cool. If I had a TV, I'd make a point to watch it...if for no other reason but JUST to see your name in big letters during the end credits. You have good reason to be proud. So does your Mom.XOXOXTed

Re: My Mom!!!!
The film has been picked up by a distributor. It also won an award in Philadelphia. It will be back on the Sundance channel this fall, I'll let you know when I find out the schedule. It's so great my mom is having this kind of success after a lifetime of composing and performing. Her name is on the blurb:http://www.sundancechannel.com/films/500318549
