Film showing in the LA area...

Post by davewalton » Sat Mar 01, 2008 3:08 pm

Hi,One of the short films I scored late last year is making an appearance at the International Digital Video Festival in Hollywood CA. The venue is here:Fairfax Cinema Theatre7907 Beverly BlvdThe name of the film is "The House" and it's schedule to show at 5:45pm on Friday March 28th. Here's the schedule for the whole thing...http://www.digitalvideofestival.com/schedule.phpIt runs for several days (the festival, not the film) and the whole thing is free. Can't beat that! Here's a little snippet from the opening of the film (CSI-style crime drama)...www.DaveWaltonMusic.com/PrivateArea/The ... ene.movLet me know if you go. I can't be there so you, whoever you are, will be my eyes and ears. Enjoy!Dave

What, they're not flying you out for the premiere?

Congrats Dave!Ever since you met me at the rally, things have really been taking off for you! hee heeLow budget placements are important. Today's low budget indie filmmaker could be tomorrow's Oscar winner. It's all about making contacts and building a rep. I wish I could go see it! It would be very cool...Best,Casey

Wish I could go! (Hopefully it would be better than the last movie we saw together, lol). Congrats! Music sounds great on the titles!

Okay seeing that it's only 8 minutes long I guess it would be a tad excessive to fly you out!Hmmm, I wonder if they allow me to double park for that long... I would actually be interested in seeing this, not just for your music but because I'd like to see how they pack a crime drama into only 8 minutes...that would be quite challenging I'd assume. The problem is that while I could certainly spare 8 minutes of my precious time , on a Friday evening in LA you'd have to add at least 90 minutes of driving on top So...we'll have to see how it goes...
