Any drummers have advice on this track?
I had someone in the studio the other day, and we did this one-take wonder scratch track. I was intending to find a decent drum pattern from my EZ Drummer setup (pop/rock/Nashville/DFH/Claustrophobic), but dang if I haven't found something that swings right. Here's the bed track at 82 bpm, just in case anyone has any ideas:http://www.thepondstudio.ca/Lay%20It%20 ... bpm.mp3I'd really like to help the guy out, so I can start arranging a complete tune. I'll need the drums down before he tracks a dedicated guitar take prior to putting his vocal on top...etc...so on.
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.

Try a loop from Claustrophobic with the pop/rock or Nashville kit. I'd try a "half-time" feel groove on it. This would be a great time to go to Guitar Center and pick up the "Funk"expansion pack - Big Blue
Imagine a steel cage match between Daughtry, Coldplay, Paramore and Demon Hunter with Joe Satriani as the referee...

I'm not a drummer, but something in my mind says "Brushes for verses and sticks for choruses".
