Dispatch forward

Post by zircon » Fri Jan 19, 2007 10:32 am

Got my track "Warhead" forwarded to # D070116EL. Two other ones subbed to the same listing didn't make it - which was a bit disappointing, since they were both similar stylistically, but hey, w/e.That makes 8 forwards since I signed up for TAXI again last month, and 4 returns. 7 returns if you count 3 tracks that got forwarded by one screener and rejected by another. Still no word from any companies I got forwarded *to* though. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

hey zircon, congrats! well I think there is really no hard and fast rule *when* you get contacted by a company.Personally I thought that in the first year pretty much nothing will happen, and now I just got my first contract through Taxi (I'm a member since sept 2006).But I really think it's not important to think about this - it's more important to work on a continious basis, develope ourselfes and deliver great results. I strongly believe (and experienced) that who's working professionally on a constant basis *will* succeed. It's just a matter of time.cheers,Martin

Yeah, I agree. I've been working hard on new tracks. I ain't holdin' out for a deal I have two that I haven't submitted to TAXI off my latest in-progress album, but they are a little esoteric for mos of the listings. Some of the ones I'm working on now (got two in the pipeline) should be much stronger candidates.
