I did consult a lawyer several years ago. He contacted ASCAP about the situation, but ASCAP determined it couldn't do anything to help. However, with the passage of time and changes in technology, it's possible that ASCAP might view things differently today. But it's true, I can't take this on by myself.

At this point, it might be worth finding a good entertainment lawyer who would take the case on a contingency basis for a percentage of whatever amounts can be recovered. I imagine it could be approaching the low to mid six figures by now. On the other hand, it may turn out that nothing is recoverable. But I hate to leave such a potential return on the table without a fight.

Anyone know a good - and tenacious - entertainment attorney?

Richard
