What kind of picture is best to go with your submissions? A photo of the songwriter/Artist or of a CD/Single cover? What do reviewers of submissions what to see here?

Good question; I don't think anyone's brought that up. I'll probably use my avatar pic, for the time being, but I might use a company logo if I incorporate this year.

you're talking about your taxi page, right? i don't recall seeing a discussion on this, but i think it depends on the listing you are submitting to.

if you're submitting for an artist listing i would definitely go with a picture of yourself, either a professional shot or a shot of you performing live. there's such an emphasis on image nowadays, so for those artist pitches i would make sure to have an awesome shot, and would be inclined to go with an actual photo as opposed to your album cover. but i think the page allows for 4 photos, so you could do your album cover as one of the alternate pictures if you wanted to.

for the writer listings i would guess you could be more creative with what photo or image to choose but i seriously doubt that it would make or break a forward....

my 2 cents

I don't know, but I hope we're given a heads up if they start reviewing the pictures so i can delete mine. I'd use my H.S. senior picture but the hairstyle and glasses sort of date me,lol!

I wouldn't submit a photo unless specifically asked. If you are submitting for an artist listing and they are asking for a photo, it's probably assumed that you have a fully professional press kit with professional photographs, etc, in which case, I'd submit one of those.

One of the nice things about being a non performing composer is that no one generally cares about what you look like as long as your music is good. 8-) 8-) It's always best to put your best foot forward, of course, in anything you do, and you don't want to show up at an interview with a potential client in your PJs and slippers!! :o :o

So, yes, submit one if asked, otherwise, it's not necessary unless you want to.

Just my 2c

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!
